What to Expect
Chicago's top improv professionals lead each intensive, hands-on Business Improvisations workshop. All of our instructors have worked with such groups as The Second City and Improv Olympic, and have extensive experience working with executives as well as MBA students.
The workshop is a unique blend of conceptual and experiential learning that merges
traditional improvisation exercises with applied business simulations, readings,
and group discussion forums.
It all begins with an intensive set of experiential learning exercises designed to help cultivate skills necessary for successful improvisation: a willingness to drop inhibitions, the ability to cultivate trust and work effectively as a team, willingness to commit to a shared vision, concentration and listening skills, an aptitude for thinking creatively on your feet, and real-time problem-solving skills. Some exercises are adapted from theatrical improv games; others are designed specifically for you.
